About Cristina

Cristina Tapp is the founder of Senterra HR, bringing over 15 years of progressive human resources leadership experience across manufacturing, engineering, construction, and education environments in British Columbia.

She has worked inside complex, unionized, and operationally demanding businesses—where HR isn’t theoretical; it needs to support business outcomes and add value. Her approach is grounded in real-world experience supporting leaders through hiring, performance management, employee relations, and workplace challenges that don’t always have simple answers.

Cristina holds a business degree and understands that HR must align with the practical realities of running a business. She brings a balanced approach—ensuring employees are treated fairly and consistently, while also supporting engaged, accountable teams that drive results. Her focus is on solutions that are compliant, practical, and aligned with both operational and financial priorities.

In addition to her corporate HR background, Cristina maintains an active coaching practice, working one-on-one with clients on personal and professional growth. This experience strengthens her ability to understand people at a deeper level, build strong working relationships, and guide honest, productive conversations in the workplace.

At the core of her work is a belief that strong businesses are built on clear expectations, mutual respect, and doing the right thing. Cristina approaches compliance not just as a legal requirement, but as a commitment to treating people fairly and building workplaces that function well.

After years in corporate HR leadership, Cristina saw a gap: many small and mid-sized businesses need experienced HR support, but don’t need—or can’t justify—a full-time senior HR role. Senterra HR was built to fill that gap.

Her style is straightforward and no-nonsense. She is known for bringing clarity, structure, and a steady hand to situations that can feel messy or complicated. Clients value her sound judgment, clear communication, and ability to move issues forward without unnecessary friction.

Cristina partners with business owners and leaders who want practical HR support they can trust—without the bureaucracy, jargon, or unnecessary overhead.
